I bought this cow figurine when I was collecting "pink milk glass." She is semi-opaque pink glass. The edges are transparent pink. I am downsizing my collections, but she is still cute.
This Mable cow figurine is used in good condition, but does have 2 short (1/16 inch) hairline cracks in the edge of the base, which are invisible except under a bright light.
The Boyd mark is on her back, but is virtually invisible. I was only able to see it by shining a bright flashlight on her. That's how I found the short hairline cracks in the edge of the base. They could have been from the manufacturing, or, since she was made in April 1999, which is nearly 26 years ago, it's also possible that they are from age.
If you can get one the right size, I think a lighted paperweight base is great for displaying this figurine! (The ones I have rotate through several colors, but I think white lights are the best for Mable.) I have shown a photo of her on my lighted base. It does show some extra colors because the lights rotate quickly and were transitioning when I shot the photo. Please note that the base will NOT be included in this sale. It is shown for illustration purposes only. I am keeping it for my Murano paperweight.
