Marantz Model 7C Preamplifier

Serial #: 11444

This preamplifier was restored in 2016 by AEA (Analog Engineering Associates) Audio Inc., the company founded by audio pioneer Ken Leonard.  The following link provides information on the restoration process and company legacy.  

Restoration Description:

Complete Gold Level restoration: Ultrasonic cleaning. AC power Cord Replacement.  Signal Capacitor Replacement / Upgrade. Power Supply Filter Capacitor replacement / upgrade.  Inrush Current Limiter. Replace Broken Fuse Holder with NOS Holder 1.5 Amp Fuse – Fast Blow.  Replace #47 Pilot Lamp Bulb.  Replace High Voltage Selenium Rectifier w/ Silicon Diode.  Replace Filament Supply Selenium Rectifier w/ Silicon Diode Bridge.  Matched Pair Telefunken Smooth-Plate 12AX7 – Vintage/Test NOS – Selected for low noise and low microphonics – Installed in phono preamp stage.  Install Inrush Current Limiter. 

*All components were tested to be within original tolerance.  Any components out of tolerance were replaced.
