Tradescantia Nanouk cuttings, Fantasy Venice, Variegated Wandering Dude, Tropical Hanging Plant

It’s the tradescantia nanouk, often just referred to as “nanouk.” And sometimes “fantasy venice.” While it’s a trendy plant, it’s not a difficult plant. And it’s actually closely related to what many consider to be one of the easiest houseplants to care for—tradescantia zebrina, a spiderwort, aka wandering dude, formerly known as wandering jew!

Tradescantia Nanouk is a heavily sought-after, variegated tradescantia (purple-inch plant). It has pretty bright green, pink & purple, fuzzy-ish leaves growing on chunky stems.  These beautiful tropicals offer uniquely coloured foliage, and will grow in trailing, long vines. Often grown as running in pot or as hanging basket.

Enjoys bright, indirect light. In brighter condition, coloration will be more pronounced and stems tend to be sturdier.

Tip to keep compact and vibrant, keep in high light and allow it to go to almost dry between watering. Do not overwater! It should dry out partially between waterings.

Green, pink, and white stripes on large, lush leaves with cute little white and yellow flowers that grow from pink buds.

Tradescantia plants originated in Central America, Mexico, and South America, but Tradescantia Nanouk originated in Sappemeer, The Netherlands. While it’s the new “it” plant, it’s not a difficult plant. In fact, it’s one of the easiest houseplants to care for, which makes it a great choice for beginners!
