These unusually shaped peppers resemble a bishop's crown. Fruits (flying saucer-like) average 2 1/4" in diameter and are borne on big, bushy plants. They mature from green to red.
TASTE: This is a mild pepper with a sweet and apple-like fruity flavor. The body of the pods near the seeds have some detectable heat, but the wings are sweet and mild. The flesh of each pod is thin but crisp. The crisp and crunchy texture is great for snacking at the mature green or red stage.
