First, And this is important.
I have been selling for over 23 years and have had no Negative or even Neutral reviews. ALWAYS POSITIVE. As this is a custom product designed and produced by me, as long as I'm still selling if you ever break one, send it back for a replacement.
This ad is for replacement stops (2 Piece set) for the Rockler Spline Jig #59288.
Rockler's spline jig works great when it's working. One of the problems with the jig is the way the stops are made, how they're made and the material they are made of. They crack right where the knobs tighten, they have a tendency to bind, and they flex.
Do you have one of these handy jigs but don't use it anymore because it broke right where the knobs tighten? These stops have the following improvements:
1. Stronger material. These are 3D printed from ASA or PETG. Both strong, UV resistant, and relatively solvent resistant (at least the kinds used in woodworking).
2. Better tolerances than the originals.
3. Thicker cross sections which makes them more rigid and less prone to breakage, particularly at the tightening screws (where all Rockler ones broke).
4. Thicker gussets with proper corner radii to reduce stress and lessen the chance of breakage.
5. No mold draft. Since the Rockler ones are injection molded there is a draft angle in 2 directions. This means the ONLY place the stops are dimensionally accurate is at the parting line.
6. These stops use the original Rockler hardware. Just take off the original stops (and throw them away) and put these in their place, reusing the original screws.
7. Their alignment tool still fits and stores in the same location.
These may be a little snug till they wear in (a little butchers wax on the sliding components will help). If they break under normal use let me know and I will replace them.
