This vintage / antique bit is a great collector piece. It is marked Star Steel Silver with a ⭐ impressed into it. 

I was told it was made in the US by August Bauermann in the late 1800's.

The shank measures 7” long and the mouth piece measures 5” wide (inside measurement). This is part of an estate and shows normal wear for it’s age.
