(I worked in shipping/recieving for 7 years. The OG external packaging Sony uses for these is not the best. Allows for too much movement & there is 0 soft cushioning. You need more than just extra cardboard for the base. The price factors in the cost of using these premium protective materials to ensure safer transit.)
