Wind up the back a little, drop a coin in, and watch the show.  Plays the song through one time.  So cute and fun.

There is a kind of a glitch in the mechanism, but it still works.  Watch the video to see for yourself.

Wood is paint-worn.  And there is a crack in the plastic, as shown.
