OUR APPROACH
To keep costs competitive, we service and test all vintage electronics in our shop to a minimally functional state unless otherwise stated to the contrary in the description. As a rule, exceptions are usually limited to gear considered rare, highly collectable or audiophile. The price the buyer is paying reflects our time and effort to that end.

OFFERS
We do accept and evaluate all reasonable offers. Do not engage in “low-balling” at the risk of being declined, and / or blocked from making further offers or even being able to view our products. Do not ask unqualified questions prior to purchase as these serve as “red flags” to the prospective buyers’ qualifications of ownership. We message regularly when we put items on clearance, and we regularly make substantial discount offers to viewers and those who take the time to favorite an item.
RETURNS
As a policy, we do not accept returns unless specifically listed to the contrary in the listing; however, we consider all return requests on a case-by-case basis even where returns are not accepted. Except for cases of damage incurred in shipping or a demonstrable gross misrepresentation of condition, full refunds are rarely accepted. Instead, we 1) will decline the request and ask that buyer respect our no returns policy, or 2) offer the price paid for shipping as a partial refund, and buyer may keep the item, or 3) Approve a return in which case, buyer must ship the item back at their expense for return inspection. Upon inspection of the item and assuming it arrives back in good condition, a full refund of the purchase price and original shipping cost will be processed. Note that approved returns require all original shipping materials to be returned. The item must not show signs of abuse or misuse, and tamper seals and markings may not be breached. If any of these are observed upon inspection, the amount of refund may be reduced accordingly. This applies to items listed as “free returns” as well.
DAMAGE IN SHIPPING
When a buyer claims damage occurred to an item during shipping, they will be asked to provide photographic evidence as such which will include the outer container, inner container and packing and the item. We insure items over $100 in value and for particularly sensitive items, the outer carton is affixed with a Shockwatch tag. This tag must also be photographed. Failure to provide photographic evidence as requested will result in our filing a counterclaim appeal against the buyers’ claim (see Counterclaim Appeals below).
ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED
When a buyer claims an item is not as described, we will require a respectful and detailed response as to the discrepancy and may ask for photographic evidence where applicable. In these cases, a full refund will be processed upon return of the item and inspection. If the inspection reveals abuse, misuse, tampering, the claim will be appealed immediately upon processing of the refund (see Counterclaim Appeals below). This does not apply in cases where the buyer accepts a partial refund instead or a return.
COUNTERCLAIM APPEALS
In keeping with policy, claims of shipping damage and/or gross misrepresentation will be first processed in favor of the buyer. If our inspection of the returned item shows evidence to the contrary of the buyers claim, we will – at the same time – file a counterclaim, or Appeal. Note will immediately place the buyer’s return payment on hold until both claims are settled. In extreme cases of gross negligence and attempts at defrauding, buyers have lost not just the item, but the refund amount to our favor. Be very respectful, timely and detailed in requesting refunds for both shipping damage and items not as described claims. We have a high win-rate on appeal. The best policy in these cases is to always contact us first through messaging as once the issue has been filed by a buyer as a formal action, further party-to-party corrective actions may be terminated.
SHIPPING
As a rule, buyer pays shipping as a separate line item. We strive to keep shipping affordable, but we cannot control what shippers charge, especially for large and/or heavy items. For large and/or heavy items, we usually offer these for local pickup as well. Light weight and small footprint items may be offered with free shipping. However, items of an irregular shape may not qualify for free shipping.
