Late 1960s Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Satin Navy Blue Button Down Maxi Skirt Long
From Yves Saint Laurent's 'Rive Gauche' collection launched in 1966 and spearheading ready-to-wear, luxury fashion as the sanctum of Paris youth culture at the time. A boutique in New York opened in 1968 and in London in 1969 after overwhelming success. Many of Saint Laurent's most famous collections began in Rive Gauche, and it is where he developed his philosophy of "wardrobe essentials", or staples. This approach to dressing became the core of the brand and became synonymous with the modernity of the 1970s fashion world.
