Malabar Red Stem Spinach (Basella alba), also known as Redvine Spinach or Ceylon, is not actually a true spinach but resembles in taste, texture, and appearance. Malabar has ornamental and culinary characteristics and is great for salads and stir-fries. Some say it tastes similar to a mild swiss chard.
