Description
As is, as found: This is a really nice clock and in good shape for it's age. This is the kind of clock you would have probably found in a mansion or old time lawyers office. It was made by The Kienzle Clock Factory in the Black Forest of Germany just prior to the first world war. It is a large clock measuring 19" tall x 12 ¾" tall x 8 oe" deep and has a large heavy duty, highly complex signed Kienzle Westminster chime clock movement that is running and chiming at this time. We have not serviced this clock and so are selling it as is. We are able to keep this clock running and chiming, but since it hasn't been serviced in a long time, it could need work in order to keep it going.
The case structure and finish is in overall nice condition. It is somewhat aged and worn, but probably no more than what you would expect for a nearly 120 year old clock.
The dial is a silvered (with real silver) over brass type. These by nature are usually stained and worn over time. This one has the age, wear, and staining that you would naturally expect to find on a clock of this age, giving it a genuine antique appearance.
Anybody who sees this clock cannot help but be impressed.
It comes complete with the original pendulum and a key that fits.
