LUMMOX & BACK STREET by Fannie Hurst                              Popular Library & Penguin Books, 1st pb printings, 1946          Condition: Good                                                                                                                                                                                From the WW1 era through the 1930s, Fannie Hurst was a popular American writer of novels and short stories (both of these books were filmed).  Now her works are largely out of print.  LUMMOX: Some cover creasing, short tear at spine head, some other lighter spine end wear, cover corner wear, some lamination peeling & some of the outer layer of paper has also peeled on spine/front cover; some small page corner creases at the front, a spine break at  the back with two pages  partially torn at the gutter and small light writing on 2 front pages.  STREET has spine wear, some as a result of lamination peeling, some cover corner/edge wear, a partial back page tear at the gutter, small writing on the front cover reverse & moderately toned pages; the top page edges are darkened and the lower edges have 3 marks.  But both books are otherwise firmly bound.
