In 2047, a rescue crew is sent to investigate the reappearance of the Event Horizon, a spaceship that vanished seven years prior on its maiden voyage to Proxima Centauri.

Upon arrival, they find the ship eerily intact but with no survivors. As they explore, they discover evidence of horrific events and encounter a malevolent entity that seems to be feeding on their fear and sanity.

The crew begins to experience disturbing hallucinations, paranoia, and self-destructive behavior as the ship's malevolent presence takes control. The entity, revealed to be a manifestation of pure evil from another dimension, ultimately seeks to possess and consume the crew.
