You are bidding on an original (i.e., not a reproduction) invitation to what appears to be a dance presented by the Tau Lambda sorority called "The Roaring Twenties." The event took place on June 9, 1961 at Wampler's Old Barn, which was a venue in Dayton, Ohio. I assume the sorority was from one of the nearby universities, but that detail is not indicated on the invitation. The invitation is a staple-bound mini booklet with a cardstock type cover and paper pages. It includes a list of the officers at the time, the dance committee members, queen candidates, lists of senior, junior, and sophomore members, the sorority song, and a page for autographs. It measures approximately 5.0 inches x 3.625 inches.
The invitation has some light wear and light creasing. There are no markings, with the exception of "349" written on the back cover, which I assume was the number for this booklet.
This is a neat little piece of history, and I hope that it can find a good home for someone who appreciates this type of artifact.
