I believe it was meant to be painted but you might be able to embroider on it instead.

The design area measures approximately 33.5" x 19.75" (within the rectangle). See photos.

There is a small tear on the edge but this is outside the design area and won't be seen when framed. Please see photos.

Will be folded to mail and will be shipped in a box.
