This vintage MCM Dutch Silver-Plate Tea Caddy was manufactured in the 1960s in a limited edition for Douwe Egberts by Hendrik Hooijkaas.
The repousse' relief work is amazingly detailed and features scenes of village life, comprising villagers, wagon and horse and is inspired by the paintings of Adriaen van Ostade, one of the best known Dutch artists of the 17th century.
