A Pythagorean cup is a practical joke device in a form of a drinking cup, credited to Pythagoras of Samos. When it is filled beyond a certain point, a siphoning effect causes the cup to drain its entire contents through the base. The cup can be used to learn about greed. Wikipedia

Introduced by Pythagoras in the 6th century BC - its mechanical concept is still seen in washing machines today.

I tested the theory and it works!

There is a line inside  - fill below the line and nothing happens.

Fill above the line and the liquis releases through a bottom hole.
