Complete set of 12 volumes by John Canaday "Metropolitan Seminars in Art" from the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Each volume contains a cover with a sample of an artist's work, pertaining to the technique.

When opened, the left side has a pocket containing 12 color prints, representing samples of various artists, a Review Question card and a sheet describing the subject of the next portfolio to come. (These were distributed through the Book of the Month Club.)

The right is a black and white booklet with in-depth information on the art movement and examples from the artists who dominated that era.

For the person who wants to educate themselves, these books are a great study.

These are in good condition with foxing on the inside of the pockets and in the gutter fold area. See last photo showing the worst of it.

The art prints are in very good condition and could be used for framing. (Number 139 of the 144 art prints is missing.)

This sale is for a PREOWNED book as shown in the photos--You may note some remnants of your book's past life - an autograph, a smell, torn covers, maybe even cut out and missing pages, an inscription, a dog-eared corner, or some yellowed pages, etc.,--the item shown in the pictures is the item you will be getting.  What my opinion of a books condition and yours is may vary, therefore I will no longer be choosing anything other than Acceptable. Your book may be in Mint condition or it may be truly be in acceptable condition---SO
