The Feri tradition is incredibly captivating. It originated from fertility Witchcraft, but it doesn't focus much on fertility itself. The Akkadians have the “Third-gendered” people who practiced fertility Magick, the Sumerians had the beings created by Ninmah, known as the Ninmen, who were neither male or female and could grant wealth to those that fed them. And in Babylonia, the Gala were created by union of Fallen Angel and Vampire and were born with no sexual characteristics. The Gala, whom I am very familiar with, are highly skilled in Wish Magick and transmuting energies. I give all those examples to illustrate that this form of “being” has been intertwined in Magickal history since the beginning. At the end of the day, it is simply energetic balance taken to its extreme form.

I have been hesitant to list Evangeline for adoption for a while, even though they have been ready to find a new home. Every time I have a Feri Witch who is ready for rehoming, I go through the same cycle of concern regarding their acceptance. It has been no different with Evangeline. I hope to find a home for her where they will be embraced for their complete identity, rather than being used solely for her magical abilities. This is the extent of what I will mention on this matter, but I kindly ask you not to judge Evangeline's choices before getting to know her. Regardless of her decisions regarding her identity, it's important to remember that you both share a common humanity.
