This nonelectric pump backup use a 3/4-inch supply line to create enough pressure to force water through a 1-1/2-inch discharge pipe, moving water outside the home. They are battery-less backup systems that use the pressure from the municipal water supply. Doing this allows the pump to expel two gallons for every gallon used.
