The active substance in CARBOMED TABLETS is activated medical charcoal. It belongs to the group of drugs called intestinal adsorbents. Activated medical charcoal works by attracting and retaining gases from the digestive system as well as toxic substances that cause diarrhea on its surface. In that way, their removal from the body is helped.

CARBOMED TABLETS  for oral suspension are intended for the treatment of diarrhea and flatulence in adults and children over 3 years of age.

CARBOMED TABLETS  for oral suspension contain activated charcoal. Activated charcoal belongs to a group of medicines called intestinal adsorbents.

Application
Activated charcoal works by binding gases and toxins that cause diarrhea and bloating to its surface and removing them from the body.

CARBOMED TABLETS  may be used in adults and children over 3 years of age.

Dosage
The tablets should be crushed and dissolved in a glass (200 ml) of water or tea and the resulting suspension should be drunk.The medicine should not be taken with milk.
The recommended daily dose for adults and children over 12 years old is 4-7 tablets at once, 3-4 times a day after meals.
The recommended daily dose for children between 3 and 12 years of age is 2-4 tablets at a time, 1-2 times a day after meals.

Notes and precautions
Take activated charcoal until your stools return to normal, but for a maximum of 4 days in the case of diarrhea, or 7 days in the case of bloating. 
Activated charcoal reduces the effect of most medications taken orally at the same time. This is because they bind to the charcoal particles. Therefore, when taking them at the same time, you should make sure that there is at least a two-hour gap between taking them.

Regarding the mechanism of action of medicinal charcoal, there is no danger of overdose.
