Regarding the comics industry recent reholder scandal / scam, please note that all books I sell were submitted directly by me to CGC at various comic conventions (as well as the occasional private signing event). I do not buy already graded books and then resell them. So every CGC item I have for sale was graded by CGC and then came directly to me and not through another dealer. Please further note that photos, prints, and original art sketches (that are not on actual comic books but are rather just on sketch paper or the like? i.e. anything certified by CGC that does not have a grade, are not searchable on their site by the serial number. Only graded comics and magazines - items with grades - are searchable by serial number. However, for such items not searchable on their site, you can call CGC Customer Service and they can verify the item authentication over the phone.
This beautiful art print features a classic Jose-Luis Garcia-Lopez image that was released in the History of the DC Universe portfolio in 1986. Limited to only 8,000 produced, the print itself measures 10 1/2 by 16 inches, is in nm/mint and undisplayed condition and will be shipped with the utmost care. Best of all, it is actually signed by hand by Garcia-Lopez. It is certified authentic by CGC as part of their special Signature Series. Please note- as my scanner is not large enough to capture the entire piece and its CGC encapsulation sleeve, I've scanned in the central area of the image plus the top half and the bottom half to show the full piece.
Please note- while this has a CGC certification number, only graded collectibles are searchable in CGC's database. Photos, prints, etc., are not (currently) verifiable through the database. However, CGC can still verify authenticity by calling their customer service number and speaking to a customer service representative.
