This one won't last- this vintage jewel-toned rayon damask dress is made fab by the unique hip drapes, dare I call them Panniers? Borrowed from the Civil War era, methinks. The bodice has 1 pc. cap sleeves and covered buttons down the front. The back has a metal zipper in the center. Self-tie belts at the sides. No label.
The bodice is smooth at the waist, the skirt is smooth at the waist and hips, then slightly Aline. Well made and in great condition! NOTE: The color looks a bit pinker in these photos due to lighting but it really is a deep-toned reddish-purple.
