Masonic Ceremonial Dress Dagger + Scabbard, 15.5" OA

Freemasonry describes itself as a "beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols’. The symbolism is mainly, but not exclusively, drawn from the manual tools of stonemasons – the square and compasses, the level and plumb rule, the trowel among others. A moral lesson is attached to each of these. The meaning of the symbolism is taught and explored through ritual,
COMMENTS: Nice design and quality at this price with excellent detail in metal casting of hilt (cross-guard, grip & pommel) as well as throat & chape of scabbard. These daggers are popular at Renaissance Fairs and complement a myriad of costumes. I finally decided I'd offer some as well as a more affordable option to some of my high end historical daggers and picked two of my favorites - the 15" Masonic and Renaissance designs. These are my own photos, to try to give you an idea of what these really look like. I'm a collector and a weekend warrior, active in local groups and fairs so I get lots pf feedback.
