This item must be synced to the body control module using a system like Ford Diagnosis & Repair System (FDRS) or an emulator for it to calibrate properly.  This can sometimes be done with scan tool ob2d system but may require Ford IDS software to recalibrate the entire network of modules, depending on what issues your vehicle has. This is not plug and play.
