Description
Hughey's company is called "The Old Crow". She hand makes wonderful primitive figurines.
This is a snowlady...the female version of the snowman!!
This is from 1998, signed and numbered (#9).
The snowlady is wearing a muslin type dress with matching pointy hat and boots and is holding a metal Christmas tree. Her arms & body (hidden) are metal. Her face is hard papier mache. She is wearing a ball (?) as a long necklace, also papier mache.
Quite tall...16.5" (wine bottle for reference only) 5" wide at sleeves, 3 1/4" square base.
All of Patricia's figures are made by her at her home, in the USA. She is known by many folk art collectors and her pieces are hard to get and sell out very quickly. I believe only a handful of the snowlady were made, but are all different because each is made one by one with individual details.
She is in new condition, perfect and wonderful.
