The top is written in what I think is Latin and translates Better We Follow Hotchkiss. The center has the Initals MCM III. I believe this hatpin was custom made from what was a collar pin originally and soldered to the straight pin. There are no stamps on the top so it has been nitric acid tested and guaranteed.
The condition is very good no damage or wear issues. The straight pin is corrosion free.
