About The Record:

American Graffiti is the soundtrack for the 1973 coming-of-age film directed and co-written by George Lucas starring Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Harrison Ford, and others. Set in 1962 Modesto, California, the film is a study of the cruising and rock-and-roll cultures popular among the post World War II baby-boom generation. The film is told in a series of vignettes, telling the story of a group of teenagers and their adventures in one night. The soundtrack album contains all the songs used in the film (with the exception of Gee by the Crows, which was subsequently included on a second soundtrack album), presented in the order in which they appeared in the film. The album peaked at #10 on Billboard 200 and generated two charting singles: Teen Angel (#1) and See You in September (#23).
