Back in the 80's, way before before the Audi R8 was even conceived, came another true Audi Supercar... And one that took Rallying to a whole new level...

But Before That, A Little Historic Rewind
It's 1981, and Audi launches it's first World Rally Championship offensive, with the standard wheelbase A1 and A2 Quattros, and by 1982 had won, outright, the WRC manufacturers' championship. The late, great Finnish driver Hannu Mikkola went on to secure the drivers trophy at the wheel of his A2 in 1983, and in 1984 the brand swept the board, triumphing in both drivers' and manufacturers' championships, with legendary Swedish driver Stig Blomqvist becoming world champion using an early version of the short wheelbase Sport Quattro. But, they wanted to go further, faster, higher...

Just 200 Required
1984, and Audi was determined to enter the elite Group B 'Supercar' category in international rallying. To do this it needed to comply with prevailing FIA homologation regulations needing them to produce 200 road legal examples of any planned competition car. The rest was history, and the Audi Sport Quattro was born. Its wheelbase length reduced by 320mm primarily to optimize weight and adjustability in the forests, with its power substantially increased from the standard wheelbase 'civilian' model's 200PS to a mighty 306PS.

Just 214 examples of the 1:1 Sport Quattro were ever produced, but in collaboration with Audi, Carisma has secured the licensing rights to reproduce the car in slightly larger numbers, yet a more user friendly price point and size! Carisma's passion for all things motor sport and rally related shines right through with this new release, they spent a long time to recreate the body as accurately as possibly in a 1/24th version, and with its 8000kv Brushless power, Permanent 4WD, 2S LiPo compatibility and precise 2.4GHz FHSS Radio Gear, its the perfect gift for any true petrol head or purchase for Historic Rally enthusiasts globally.

The iconic Group B rally legend, the Audi Sport Quattro S1, is now available as a radio control car. Carisma RC has worked with Audi AG before, and this time it is the iconic rally legend. The Audi Sport Quattro S1.
It's been said that WRC is for boys and Group B is for men.
The whole of the body is beautifully reproduced in a lightweight, hobby grade, vacuum-formed body with beautiful decals. The paint scheme is reminiscent of the iconic Audi Quattro Racing colors.
The chassis is the trusty GT24 Rally spec with 8000KV motor and high speed servo. Permanent 4WD transmission and, to top things off, rally tarmac spec high grip tyres.
Controlled by our tried and tested CTX-2000 2.4G system.
