Presented to attendees of the January 20th 2009 Inaugural luncheon for President Barack Obama that was hosted in the Rotunda of the US Capitol. This Vase is made of Heavy Glass and etched with an engraving of the Capitol on one side and the White House on the other with the inscription " Inaugural Luncheon US Capitol January 20 2009" designed by Artist Paula Skene and Lorraine Coyle handcrafted by Evergreen Crystal of Montrose Colorado.

Tall rounded glass vase with circular opening that widens in the middle and tapers towards the base. Etched on the front of the vase is a depiction of the southern facade of the White House and an inscription below. On the reverse of the vase there is an etched depiction of the U.S. Capitol building with decorative foliage on either side.
Historical Note
This vase was created as a gift for attendees of the Inaugural Luncheon for President Barack Obama's first inauguration in 2009. Each came with a card that reads: "The original artwork for the vase was created by noted designer Paula Skene, a native / Californian whose studio is located in Emeryville, California. The vase was handcrafted at Evergreen Crystal, owned by Lorraine Coyle, a native Californian and accomplished artist in glass and crystal."
Very rare item, there is one in the Barack Obama Presidential Library. Only a few select people were given these prestigious gifts.
