This is a great iconic looking 1950's/60's Stacy Ames dress.  Just the type thing our mother's wore in the 1950's for grocery or downtown shopping.  Has a sweet look.  But with the pleated skirt it would also make a great rockabilly dance dress.

Very good condition but is missing a back cloth covered button AND it has thread loop for belt but no belt.  Easy to add a white belt.
There is a good sized hem (measurement below) and also some interior facing fabric that could be used to make a replacement cloth covered button.

The Stacy Ames tag is well attached but a bit frayed.  I see remnants of another size and Union type tag but not readable.
Following are measurements:

Waist measured across front at seam is approx 13 inches.
Underarm to underarm across front is approx 19.5 inches. It has a darted front.
Length measured from neck to hem down back is approx 39 inches.
Measuring from waist seam to the hem is approx 23.5 inches.
There is a 2.5 inch hem.
Inside there is a facing that measures approx 2.25 inches across.  If you want to make a replacement button there appears to be enough obscure fabric to clip enough for a button.

Top part is lined inside with white fabric. It buttons down the back and there is a snap closure at the top. There is a metal zipper at the waist below the back buttons. The white large buttons on the front are just decoration.
