CHAU1667 This is a highly specialist autographed listing for Erica Cremer (20 May 1900, Munich 21 September 1996, Innsbruck) who was a wartime German physical chemist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Innsbruck who is regarded as one of the most important pioneers in gas chromatography, as she second conceived the technique in 1944, after Richard Synge and Archer J.P. Martin in 1941, and built the first gas chromatograph with Fritz Prior in the 1940s. The listing is for two personally signed items being firstly an A4 size letter from 1996 where she has written half of it by hand (but I cannot translate as it is all in German but I am sure a local historian will know its contents). It is folded once where posted otherwise mint. The second item is a 6" x 4" hand signed photo for the female wartime scientist which she has personally autographed below her portrait undedicated and great condition (ex minus grading). I have scanned both items laid together for the gallery image but these are two separate items and together comprise surely the best autograph opportunity for this early female scientist of its kind.
