This piece is in good condition with surface scratches on top where the glass sits.  The glass may or may not be the original to the base, but fits as it should with a small gap to allow air inside.  This is a darker wood, and will hold any standard size taper candle.  The overall height, including base and glass shade, is 17" tall.  The base is approx 8.5", and the shade is approx 8.5", perfect for taper candles up to 8" tall.
