This is a vintage Hakata doll or figurine of a fisherman with one knee down and two fish in a fishnet. Hakata Urasaki figurines are a Japanese craft of unglazed clay figures that are known for their lifelike features, fine details, and beautiful, curvy shapes. Made in Japan, Hakata figurines are traditional clay figurines originally made as offerings in Buddhist temples. The doll measures 6" tall x 5" x 3-3/4" at the base. The head is reattached, and there are scratches and marks present.
