This 3-armed chandelier with twin shades is a versatile and elegant fixture perfect above a kitchen island, over a counter, dining table, or in a living room. The chandelier's three rotating arms and adjustable shades provide task lighting and customizable illumination options.
The arms are balanced with a heavy cast brass sphere and rotate in an orbital movement around the stem. To ensure perfect balance, the sphere is filled with sand, reaching the point of no leverage. The hand-spun aluminum shades are lacquered with ivory powder paint and finished with an eggshell semi-matte sheen. They are connected to the arm with a pivot joint, allowing for a range of light orientations. Each shade holds two bulbs, with the larger shade fitting an E27/E26 A15 bulb for direct or task lighting, and the smaller cone holding a candelabra E14/E12 bulb for ambiance.
The outline of the shades has been designed to echo the iconic 1950s pieces made by mid-century modern Italian studios Arteluce and Stilnovo, but with a unique and distinctive design that will add elegance and sophistication to any home.
They can be customized with colors from the 1950s palette, such as ivory, sage and black. Other colors are available upon request.
The stem features a rotating system with 180 degrees of motion on each arm, allowing for safe and easy adjustment of the chandelier's position. The standard brass finish features a beautiful noisette hazelnut patina achieved through the restorer technique of liver sulfur and uniformed with a polishing pad. Alternatively, the chandelier can be made with regular polished brass. The arms and body are crafted from natural solid brass and hand-finished.
