It is extremely important that you remove your old unit to verify the part number. Failure to do this will result in a unit that will most likely not match up to your vehicle and will not function properly.  Attempting to upgrade your system to a system that was not originally installed with your vehicle from the factory may result in improper function of the new unit. For instance trying to put a 6 disk CD player in place of a simple AM FM radio or a single CD radio.
