Information about the skyscraper
The MetLife Building is a 260 meter tall skyscraper at Park Avenue, north of Grand Central Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. Completed in 1962 as Pan Am Building, it was advertised as having the world's largest commercial office space area at its opening. As of 2023, it remains one of the 100 tallest buildings in the United States and one of the most famous in the skyline of New York City.
