Antique Hand Painted Limoges Lamp w/Neoclassical Woman Playing Lyre. Really nice
lamp with no damage in working condition. It's been rewired but the brass base
is early 20th century. By the Shape of the porcelain vase I think it may have
always been a lamp but have no way of knowing for sure. I did once see a very
similar shape in an oil lamp bring close to $2000 at auction, so maybe it was
once an oil lamp. I can't find a mark but the quality is unmistakably Limoges
French porcelain from the late 19th to early 20th century. Measures 19.5" to top
of socket where bulb goes, 27" to the top of the loop (not shown) where the
shade will rest, and 14" to the bottom of the brass stem that goes up for the
socket.
