Filter ring is in very good condition. I don't see any dents. Ring has some scratches from use. It works good. It is fully operational and functions as intended. I would rate it an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Please note that it ring has 37mm ID or 1 15/32" 1.45", and it will hold one series 6 filter.
