This beautiful 18th Century Irish hook ended ladle features an intricate floral and leaf pattern that is sure to catch the eye of anyone who sees it. The maker’s mark is IC - unfortunately not the same IC they might be attributed to John Craig or Joseph Cullen as there is no pellet between the initials and the cartouche for each is different. We’ve included a photo of the maker’s mark identification guide in the photos along with the assay marks that line up somewhere between 1773and 1796. The only other piece missing is the date mark which while not being a common thing did in fact happen. The remaining marks are still strong so it’s doubtful only one mark would have completely worn off over time.
