This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE COCKTAIL RING that was made in the ART DECO period of the 1920s. It is handmade from 18K white gold. The ring is centrally bezel-set with 1 SYNTHETIC CEYLON SAPPHIRE that weighs approx. 3 ct. This sapphire measures approx. 12 x 9 x 5.68 mm and it has a BEAUTIFUL LIGHTER BLUE COLOR. The sapphire has some facet abrasions consistent with age. *Large synthetic colored stones were typical for the period due to the rareness and exorbitant price of a natural sapphire of this size.

The ring is framed with 16 ROSE CUT DIAMONDS that weigh approx. 1.12 ctw. One diamond had been replaced with a partial brilliant cut (see 6th pic) - I know, weird, but it actually works because it blends in with the rose cuts. One diamond has repair to the setting (see 4th pic) and some of the diamonds have chips (typical of rose cuts). THIS RING LOOKS FABULOUS ON THE HAND, regardless of the issues just stated because they are not readily visible. The ring measures 15/16” long by 3/4" at the widest point. The ring size is a 6.25 and the total weight is 5.3 grams. The lower gallery has EXQUISITE DETAIL! THE PERFECT COCKTAIL RING WHEN A LARGE NATURAL SAPPHIRE IS NOT IN YOUR BUDGET ... THIS RING IS ONE-OF-A-KIND and GORGEOUS!
I have several of these synthetic large sapphire cocktail rings available, as seen in the photos of multiple rings.

*A NOTE ABOUT OUR PHOTOGRAPHY – Taking pictures of diamonds to be displayed on a computer screen can be difficult, often resulting in the diamonds looking dark (especially rose cut diamonds) when in reality they are not. If you are looking at any of our pictures and feel that the diamonds look dark, please refer to the description of the item that states the accurate color and clarity of the stones.

Also, jewelry and/or diamond grading is done under 10X magnification. When you super-size our photos you will see the item in 100X magnification. Please be aware that you may see things that cannot be seen with your eyes or a jeweler’s loupe. Sometimes these magnified images can make the item look distorted or appear to have problems when in reality it is fine. I list only high quality pieces and avoid those with problems or in need of repair unless it is described as such in the listing. If you are seeing something that you are not sure of, please inquire about it.

REFUND POLICY: The buyer has the right to a refund should the item not be suitable. The item must be promptly returned in its original condition without damage, alteration, repair or signs of wear when examined under a 10x jewelers loupe. Buyer is responsible for return shipping fees unless we have mistakenly misrepresented the item.

I realize there is risk on the buyer’s side when bidding on an expensive jewelry item. If you would feel more comfortable speaking to me in person before bidding on an item, I welcome all calls.
