Regarding the comics industry recent reholder scandal / scam, please note that all books I sell were submitted directly by me to CGC at various comic conventions (as well as the occasional private signing event). I do not buy already graded books and then resell them. So every CGC item I have for sale was graded by CGC and then came directly to me and not through another dealer. Please further note that photos, prints, and original art sketches (that are not on actual comic books but are rather just on sketch paper or the like? i.e. anything certified by CGC that does not have a grade, are not searchable on their site by the serial number. Only graded comics and magazines - items with grades - are searchable by serial number. However, for such items not searchable on their site, you can call CGC Customer Service and they can verify the item authentication over the phone.
About the item:
This approximately 8 by 10 inch photo is certified by CGC as part of their Signature Series. Signed by Jeffrey Combs who portrayed the recurring role of the Andorian Commander, Shran, in Star Trek: Enterprise (a fan-favorite and undoubtably the most popular non-main cast character of the series) as well as several other characters in the Star Trek franchise. In addition to his autograph, he also wrote "It's the ice that forges real strength," (one of his lines from the episode "The Aenar," as well as his character name, "Shran," and "ST: E." With CGC’s Signature Series, a certified witness actually observes the signing and then immediately takes possession of the collectible so there is no chance for the real autograph being replaced or substituted. It will be shipped with the utmost care.
Combs in Star Trek:
In all, if you count the different clones (with five on screen appearances), Combs has portrayed more Star Trek characters than any other actor. He appeared in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as the human police officer Kevin Mulkahey (in "Far Beyond the Stars"), as a background guest at Vic's (in "What We Leave Behind"), and Trion in "Meridian" as well as the better known and recurring characters of Brunt (FCA!), and the many, though each somewhat different, Weyoun clones. He also played Penk in the Voyager episode "Tsunkatse," Suldok in the Star Trek: Elite Force II video game, Agimus (the evil computer) in Lower Decks, and, in addition to Shran in Enterprise, Combs portrayed the Ferengi Krem in "Acquisition."
