C Company, 110th Infantry, part of the 8th Corps within the 3rd Army, played a significant role in the Battle of the Bulge, particularly known for their fierce defensive stand against overwhelming German forces in the Ardennes region, holding a critical section of the front line and preventing a major German breakthrough by sacrificing themselves to buy time for other Allied units to reinforce key positions like Bastogne. 

 

Key points about C Company, 110th Infantry in the Battle of the Bulge: 

 

Central location:

• The 110th Infantry Regiment, including C Company, held the center of the 28th Infantry Division's line, directly facing the main German offensive axis.
  

Heavy fighting:

• Due to their position, C Company and the 110th Infantry endured intense combat against numerically superior German forces, including tanks and infantry. 

Defensive stand:

• Despite being heavily outnumbered, the 110th Infantry, including C Company, managed to delay the German advance, buying crucial time for the reinforcement of other Allied unit.
