Prior to Loewy’s redesign, Japan Tobacco and Salt (Japan’s nationalized tobacco monopoly) was using this design for their Peace cigarettes brand.

This was released after the World War II in hope of peace and the logo was designed by the American designer Raymond Loewy, the same person who designed the logo for the famous US brand Lucky Strike.

This item is a piece of history from post-WWII Japan, specifically from 1946. It is a pack of PEACE Tobacco Cigarettes produced by Sekiguchi Shigeo. The pack features unique artwork and is a great addition to any militaria collection. The 6 cigarettes are included, as this item is being sold as a collectible. The pack is an original piece from the time period and was produced in Japan. It is a great representation of the culture and history of the country during that time.
