Lens hood has been used, But it is not damaged in any way. Item might have some scratches from normal use. I don't see anything damaged, or any cracks, or dents (see pics). This lens hood is fully operational and functions as intended. I would rate it a 8, on a scale from 1 to 10.
Hood is generic brand, not made by Canon. But it looks and feels just like Canon made hood. It is made in China. Good quality plastic, strong and sturdy.
