This listing is for an excellent coin to own and collect.  It’s a Denver "D" mint mark issue of the 2024 U.S. Women Quarters Series that celebrates Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, the first – and to date, the only – woman recipient of the U.S. Medal of Honor!

This quarter is the third issue of 2024 and the 13th in the series.

Mary was raised by abolitionist parents on a family farm in upstate New York.

She was only the second woman to receive a medical degree in America; the year was 1855 and she was 22.

Mary volunteered her medical services to the Union Army during the Civil War.

She was awarded the Medal of Honor in 1865.

This coin has been in circulation. All the features are crisp and clear.

The coin does not appear to have nicks or scratches.
