Item description for Vintage Ohmite 500 OHM Rheostat Model J U-500-L02 .32AMPS 8113 Skokie ILL

I don't know if this was used, or if the 2 outer contacts were tinned at manufacture. The center contact is not tinned. When tested with my cheapo multimeter, the resistance goes from (almost) zero to about 500 ohm in each direction.
