This 12 Days of Christmas bookmarks, small gift boxes and editable invite set is a black and white printable for Christmastide (print on coloured card to add your favourite colour), with original poetry and woodblock style illustrated bookmarks. There’s 2 turtle doves and all the rest from the song, but from the quirky perspective of a domestic cat and dog.

Whether your loved one is an academia aesthetic enthusiast or a dog or cat lover, these bookmarks would be a great addition to a Christmas card, or good as a book lover’s Christmas gift to pair with a book. It includes envelopes as boxes (which look like books) to put the bookmarks in. These can also double as gift boxes for small gifts.

In this bundle set you also get 12 editable Canva invites, using designs from the bookmarks and also my Advent set, if more relevant. You need to personalise the invite details yourself, which can be done with a free Canva account in a web browser or the Canva app. When you buy you receive a PDF of instructions and a link to my Canva template.

Embrace the light academia vibes and make the most of the holiday season with festive cocktail suggestions and adult activities. There’s a teen activities version which leaves out the alcoholic cocktails. These printable bookmarks can be easily printed at home on any old black ink printer.

This bookmark set is also suited for those wanting to add a touch of progressive, inclusive spirituality to traditional Christmas rituals, with home-based, micro-celebration ideas. For the activities I have started on 26th December, because this directly follows on from my Advent set. I know there’s controversy over the exact dates of the 12 days of Christmas, so for the bookmarks I’ve simply labelled the days 1-12 without dates. You can choose if Day 12 is Epiphany on the 5th or 6th or 18th or 19th January, go with Christmas Day or Christmas Eve, or have Christmas in July!

The bookmarks and boxes could be reused again next year, if you stick the boxes back with something which won’t damage them, like blu tack, masking tape (or possibly washi tape?) and then store them flat after Christmas. It is also inherently an eco friendly approach to advent calendars as there’s no shipping or plastic or metallics involved, you could even print on recycled card.

This kit is designed for personal home printing, utilizing just black ink, so you should be able to print on the most basic home printer. Whether on crisp white or pastel-hued card stock, the result is a new twist on printable advent calendars. You can give printed versions as gifts to other people but the files are bought for personal use only.
