Cast iron bracket sconces were made in several styles, the neo classic with egg and dart motif and squared corners on the back plates were the most common. The pair you see here are the less-common with a floral motif around the backplate and corner cut out back plates. You don't often find a matching set of two, and we are pleased to offer these.

The sconces have been fully restored. The cast iron was stripped, finished in dead black as they would have been originally, and given a matte finish. They are fitted with damp location sockets and a ground wire. The thumb screws are new.The sconces wear their age well with only minor pitting. See photos.

The globes are 6" diameter, 3.25-inch fitter, cased opal glass. Cased glass has a clear outer casing to protect the opal under layer. We also have optional art glass flame globes for a $200 upgrade (these retail for $250 each) and French inside sandblasted crystal globes, 7" diameter, for a $100 upgrade.
